'If It's Football, It's Vital'

No better outside Premiership-Cahill

Gary Cahill, now back at Aston Villa and making an impression in their first team continues to give compliments out regarding the club he was loaned out to during Season 2004/5.

He is quoted in the Lancashire Telegraph as saying:

'There isn't a better club outside the Premiership to go to,

'I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Burnley. It's a great club to be at.

'They are good people and they talk to you, and you can always knock on the manager's door and have a chat with him.'

Gary also had a few things to say about his team mate Eric Djembe-Djembe currently on loan to the Clarets. It was reported previously on Vital, that Gary Cahill along with Phil Bardsley had both been instrumental in convincing Djembe-Djembe that a loan move to Turf Moor would be in his best interests.

Gary says of Eric:

'Going to Burnley did me the world of good,

'It's good for Eric to be playing every week now because games are important.'

He added: 'There's no reason why he couldn't come back and get back into the first team.

'It's down to yourself as a person. If he does well then he could come back and see if he can earn the right to have a place in the Villa team and I wish him all the best.'

I am sure every Clarets fan will be applauding and thanking you,Gary for your kind words about our club. Gawd we have missed you, dont suppose there is any chance you could come back?
