Clarets Caps in International

Northern Ireland and Wales failed to produce a goal in the friendly international at Windsor Park on Tuesday night.

Three Clarets won caps playing in this match

Kyle Lafferty and Michael Duff started for Northern Ireland whilst Danny Coyne, in his long-awaited International return, kept a clean sheet in goal for Wales and was the busier of the two keepers.

The only disappointment for the Clarets was that Steve Jones also named in the Northern Ireland squad pulled out due to an hamstring injury. It is a concern that this may keep him out of the Clarets side to face Sheffield Wednesday this Saturday. Steve had been out of the Clarets team through injury for a few games but came off the bench and played against QPR in our last match.Lets hope this recent International setback is not too serious
