The Rumour Mill- Jon Otsemobor

Burnley are understood to be interested in bringing fullback Jon Otsemobor to Turf Moor on loan. The Crewe defender and former Liverpool trainee was rumoured to be a target by Bolton Wanderers and Manchester City during the transfer window.

The Clarets will be hoping to beat Bolton to the loan with the Premiership club also thought to be still interested in the player.

The 23 year old Liverpudlian had a number of loan outs during his time at Anfield with spells at Hull,Bolton and Crewe before joining Rotherham on a free transfer in July 2005.

Crewe then picked him up on a free transfer in January 2006.

There have been a number of rumours linking the Clarets with Crewe recently but it was originally thought this was in relation to our own players moving to Gresty Road for a loan spell. Both John Spicer and Stephen Foster being mentioned.
