'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Steve-Case for Defence!

If the current unique situation doesnt work this time in the sense we have for the first time in yonks actually got a bigger squad by the end of Jan than we did at the start and havent had the death knell of losing a key player(s) during it, maybe its time Barry Kilby had a word with Steve about how nice it might to retire to Cheltenham!

However, Cotterill has had to work within limited resources and with the smallest squad in the league for ages! Its not that he has been able to afford to buy a Rooney or for that matter even a Lita or a Nugent, so you should judge him in my opinion on what he has achieved being continually told we are always punching above our weight with our players on the lowest salary in the League.

With the bravado some expected from him,it seems in the Ternent style, we could now be in League 1 despite having witnessed more entertaining football but losing games 4-7 or whatever.

Of course, he makes mistakes dont all managers and some of his Plan B decisions are bizarre to say the least, assuming he makes one in the first place especially in relation to substitutions.

However, I think the Goalposts have changed this month and we should judge him now on that and if we are still midtable by this time next season and the football is dire then fair enough, I will be with his current critics in the queue calling for his neck

But come on chaps, chin up all we need do is this

1. Break this awful run

2. Look forward to the return of Gray up front with Ade.

3. Look forward to the achievement of peak fitness from the new lads who by their own admission lack match practice.

I rest my case me'Lord!

So are you going to be the prosecution now or vote for me on the Jury?

Dont get comfy Steve, the Jury is still out so prove me right come Jan 08!!

It is a matter of great concern a series of defeats sustained by the club in spite of new players recently attached .Whom to lay blame ?The Players ,the Manager ? I wouls say give a chance to every body to prove his real worth for some more matches . It is only then that we have to decide and give our opinions .

I dont think anyone is to blame, we just did not realise how important Andy Gray was to the team. The bigger squad now when they are all match fit including Gray should see us through if we can get that all important first win in 2007 to restore confidence
