The Rumour Mill-Jermaine Easter

Jermaine Easter is a Cardiff born striker currently playing for League 2 club Wycombe.

Easter joined Wycombe in January 2006 from Stockport County for £80,000, after spells at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Hartlepool United, Cambridge United and Boston United.

In 30 starts for the club he has scored 20 goals and is credited with the fastest hat-trick (22 minutes) for the club in a match againt Bury in August last year.

He was also rumoured to be linked earlier this month with moves to Blackburn Rovers and Manchester City

Jermaine also has a brother,Jemal who plays for Cardiff City

Born in 1982, the striker has recently received his first call-up for the Welsh National team for their international friendly clash against Northern Ireland.

If the rumour is true and he does sign for the Clarets, he might face three of his new team mates in the Northern Ireland team.

As per all rumours, this one also comes with the usual health warning although it does appear that local radio 2br have announced the possibility suggesting even there might ba an announcement following tonight's match against Derby. A figure of £1.25 million has been suggested on some Clarets messageboards
