'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Clarets Irish Eyes are Smiling!

Michael Duff, Kyle Lafferty and Steve Jones have all received international call-ups by Northern Ireland for the Nationwide International challenge match v Wales at Windsor Park on Tuesday, February 6.

Well done lads and dont get injured!

It has also been reported in the Belfast Telegraph that the grandchildren of Burnley & Northern Ireland legend, Willie Irvine will be among the Northern Ireland mascots at the international game on February 6. The young lads involved cousins,Will & Connor both live in Burnley but they will both be supporting Northern Ireland.

Willie Irvine, now 63 and a father of three said "The boys were born and bred in England, but the family haven't let me down - they've kept the old country fresh in my memory!

"I just think it will be absolutely wonderful that they have the chance to lead out the team their grandad used to play for.

"It will be something that hopefully they remember for the rest of their lives."
