'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Rumour Mill-The Mystery Man

Following today's match at St Mary's which saw all three new recent signings feature in an excellent 0-0 draw against 4th place Southampton, Steve Cotterill sounds pretty chuffed and it sounds like we have at least one more player likely to come to the Turf before the January transfer window closes.

The announcement is also on the Official site which would suggest there was an high degree of certainty that someone is close to signing!

Steve says he is hopeful of persuading another player to sign for the Clarets in the coming week.

He said: 'It was pleasing to have players come in and do so well on their debuts.

'But it will be even more pleasing if I get the third next week. I have monitored him for 12 to 18 months and if I can get him in, I think he will be a good player for us.'

So then fellow Clarets who could we be talking about? Luton Shelton, Robbie Blake, Healy? Heck the speculative list is endless based on gossip and rumour, Lucketti, Shipperley, Kevin Foley, Chris Makin..and on and on! Even Robbie Fowler has been mentioned tongue in cheek.

Wow what a nice transfer window this is turning out to be after the last two miserable seasons! Well done to Barry Kilby, Brendan Flood & the rest of the Board for letting Steve make it happen!
