Ade is back giving the fans the Best possible news that the Club is at long last 'walking the talk'. Its almost a year since we said goodbye to Ade as he left for the Blades in a club record £1.75m outgoing transfer deal. This sale proved to be a disaster for the club as we plummeted down the division.
Could we now reverse our fortunes and recent poor form and continue to press for a play-off place?
The Sheffield United striker re-signed in a two-and-a half year deal, less than 12 months after leaving Turf Moor for Bramall Lane
Burnley have paid out £650,000 for the 32-year-old striker with a further £100,000 payable in the summer.
Ade officially signed on January 1st, but is not eligible for the New Year's Day game versus Stoke City.
The Claret faithful worshipped Ade in his first spell with the Club and he scored 16 Championship goals in just 38 starts. Who can forget that fantastic Hat-trick he got at Luton last season?
Ade never really settled with Sheffield United and he started just 12 games for them and made a total of 18 appearances.
Burnley manager Steve Cotterill comments on the Official Site
'I'm absolutely delighted to bring Ade back as I'm sure the supporters and his team mates will be, both those that he left behind and the new ones he will meet.
'He is a great character. He will need time to settle in though because he hasn't played too much regular football in the last 12 months.
'To be honest everybody knew what I thought of Ade in his previous spell here and I just thought when we were looking around for what was available, both in terms of money and the player, he was the best, but we'll need to make sure we give him time to get up to speed.
'I would imagine, all in all, that this is just the kind of lift we needed at this moment in time - probably for Ade as well.
'We are just looking forward to welcoming him back in the squad. He won't be doing any press over the next week or so.
'We just need to let him settle back into the club that loves him and I'm sure then he will then have plenty to say in the next week or two.'
There will be many happy Clarets this morning. Welcome back Ade!!
