Latest Update-Safe Standing Campaign

Just to remind you this is the EDM laid down by Mike Hancock MP:

EDM 101

STANDING AREAS AT FOOTBALL GROUNDS

5.11.2006

Hancock, Mike

That this House urges the Government to re-examine the case for introducing small, limited sections of safe standing areas at football grounds; further urges the Government to recognise that there is widespread support for such areas, and that improvements in stadium design and technology mean that with rigorous safety specifications standing areas could be safely re-introduced; and calls on the Minister concerned to convene a meeting of representatives of the police, supporters, Premier League clubs and the Football Licensing Authority to find a way forward.

We now have 71 MPs who have signed the Safe Standing EDM. If there is anything you would like to raise with Phil Gatenby at the FSF or Amanda Mathews at Stand Up Sit Down, then let me know below and I will put them into contact with you. If you havent yet please lobby your MP to sign if not on the list below and send any responses to Phil Gatenby.

We need another 29 MPs to stand a chance of a Parliamentary debate.
