Cotterill Hopes For Big Turnout

Burnley manager Steve Cotterill has expressed his hopes of a bumper attendance for Saturday's match with Watford, following the decision to cut prices for the fixture.

Tickets are available for just £10 for adults, with concessions at £5, for the visit of the high flying hornets.

The Clarets currently lie just two points adrift of the playoff positions, with Watford occupying third place in the Championship, making this a crucial match in the season, and Coterill has urged a fan response.

He told the club's official website: 'We love those 11,000 regulars who come every week, but it would be fantastic if we could get 17,000 or 18,000 in here.'

The club, like many others introduced a controversial surcharge at the start of the season, and many supporters voiced their displeasure to the charge, which means that any tickets purchased after midday on matchday incur a £3 rise in price.

The charge was recently dropped for the match against Leicester City, and this price cut is further effort being made by the club to boost attendances.

Burnley will be looking to bounce back from the 3-0 defeat to Sheffield United last weekend, which brought to an end their recent good form.
