Deadline Day Rumour Mill-Handy Anderson?

What would Burnley fans think if they saw Anderson turn out in Claret & Blue rather than the Red of Manchester United? It might not be as far-fetched as it sounds with reports that Burnley could be considering a loan move for the midfielder. The Daily Mail report that such a move could be on the cards and that would certainly be unexpected and out-of-he-blue should such a deal go through!

Anderson has hardly set the world alight for the Red Devils with the Brazilian international struggling to make a significant impact at Old Trafford following his €30 million (£20m) move from Porto in July 2007. Anderson Luís de Abreu Oliveira to give him his full name has only made just over 100 appearances for United scoring only a handful of goals over seven years at the club. Last season after struggling to establish himself in United`s first team under David Moyes he was loaned out to Italian club Fiorentina in January 2014 for the remainder of the season. On his day though he can be thrilling to watch! He is recognised for his vision, tackling ability and strength and is certainly a box-to-box type player. A chance to play more regularly in the Premier League could be a good move and perhaps the link is not such a bad one. The 26 year old started his career with Grêmio before joining FC Porto for €7 million in January 2006.

No idea where this rumour started but it never happened! Not even Sky Sports mentioned it as on or off!
