Sordell Soon on Board?

Sordell Soon on Board?

Bolton forward Marvin Sordell looks set to join Burnley with media reports stating that he was undergoing a medical at Turf Moor on Friday with a view to a £500,000 move. At the time of writing though (Saturday morning) there has not yet been any official announcement.

The rumour started a week ago that Burnley were interested in signing the former England under-21 international who joined Bolton in a £3.2million move from Watford in January 2012. His time though at the Reebok (or Macron as it will now be called) has not been that successful. He made just 29 appearances for the Trotters since signing for the club two years ago. The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Charlton Athletic, scoring eight goals in 35 appearances.

If the move goes ahead which now looks very likely Sordell will be reunited with the manager who sold him at Watford, Sean Dyche. Between 2009 and 2012, Sordell played 81 times for the Hornets notching up 27 goals and that form will hopefully now be repeated again for the Clarets if he comes on board.
