We Had Three Players in Top Ten

Danny Ings was crowned Sky Bet Championship player of the year earlier this month beating the other shortlisted candidates, Leeds United`s Ross McCormack and Leicester City`s Danny Drinkwater into second and third place respectively.

Clarets fans though might be interested to know that Burnley in fact had three players in the top 10, with the award voted for by club managers.

Ings` strike partner Sam Vokes was sixth in the list and right back Kieran Trippier was eighth. Burnley, along with Leicester were the only Championship clubs to have three players in the top ten.

The full list was as follows:

Winners

01. Danny Ings (Burnley)

02. Ross McCormack (Leeds United)

03. Danny Drinkwater (Leicester City)

Others

04. Andy Reid (Nottingham Forest)

05. David Nugent (Leicester City)

06. Sam Vokes (Burnley)

07. Jamie Vardy (Leicester City)

08. Kieran Trippier (Burnley)

09. Aaron Cresswell (Ipswich Town)

10. Will Hughes (Derby County)

Just one amazing season! Another stat-Just noticed positions are quoted in fixtures page in Claret & You! We have not been out of top 3 since 17th September when we were fourth after beating Brum 3-0 at home. Worst has been 9th after Brighton defeat in August
