Bore Draw sees Clarets 4th

Burnley's momentum stalled somewhat, with a rainy Tuesday night stalemate with Southend.

As second top faced second bottom, there was nothing to seperate them, as Steve Tilson's side made life difficult for the free scoring Clarets with an astute away performance.

With Steve Cotterill himself conceding that it was a fair result, the Clarets will be looking for an improved showing when they make the long trip to face Plymouth on Saturday.

Not a convincing performance. All those missed chances with no clinical finishing, like when they played Norwich or even against Hull. All credit to Southend who gave us a good game. I suppose its a clean sheet, but we should have scored at least 1 to give us all three points!

What chances I think you had 3 shots on goal all game, you were very lucky to get a point

Sorry got carried away with typing, 3 chances, you are correct. But your finishing wasn't the best either, suppose that was mostly down to the 'beast' in goal, and the woodwork! I was only commenting in relation to other performances we have put in.
