Rumour Mill-A Noble Move?

According to Sky Sports, Burnley look set to sign 22-year-old, Sunderland striker Ryan Noble and this is not the first time we have been linked with the player. This time though there could be more truth in the rumour.

Noble is available on a free transfer after leaving the Stadium of Light earlier this summer. He failed to become a regular player for the Black Cats spending most of his time out on loan. Noble had a spell on loan at Watford and two loan spells at both Derby and Hartlepool but he only managed to feature five times for Sunderland's first team during four years at the club.

It is thought a number of clubs have expressed a desire to sign the striker who has spent his whole career at Sunderland after coming through their youth academy. Burnley though are thought to be in the driving seat and the player himself has been tweeting about signing for a club but not revealing who.The club are believed to be in advanced talks with the former England Under 19 player.

If the rumour is true we appear to be getting an unproven striker. He has made just 24 appearances at first-team level including the loan spells and notched up just three goals.

Done deal by the sounds of it, is this lad any better than MacDonald, Fletcher, McCartan and Jackson who were all released?

I agree 8clarets8 he may be young but really is that the best we can hope for? Replacement for Pato don't make me laugh, this is so sad to see.

Confirmed that Ryan Noble has signed a 1 year contract this afternoon. As I suspected he's "one for the future" hope it works out but please tell me it gets better than this.
