Porter Down to Dons!

Porter Down to Dons!

Clarets winger George Porter will be playing League Two football in 2013-14 after joining AFC Wimbledon on a season-long loan. The move was confirmed today on the official site.

Burnley fans have seen little of the winger since he arrived from Leyton Orient last summer on a three-year deal. Last January, the 21 year old secured a six-month Youth loan at Colchester United clocking up 19 appearances and scoring one goal for the League One club.

The closest he has been to the Burnley first-team was as an unused substitute in the Capital Once Cup third round defeat at Swindon Town.

When are we going to bring somebody in? Squad is looking dangerously thin on the ground at the moment even if Arfield and Jones come on board. Bartley and Stock could go and it looks like Dane Richards will be staying in Norway on a permanent deal.

Thought the squad was threadbare? How come we can afford to let players go out on loan? I would prefer Porter stay and Treacy go out on loan if anything!

I know it was rumoured we didn't want this lad to stay but this is getting ridiculous.
