And the Winner of 2012-13 Prediction League is...

The season is over! How good were you at predicting an inconsistent season for the Clarets? Have a look below at our final 2012-13 Vital Burnley Prediction League table:

Congratulations this time go to Crosspool Claret who was consistent throughout the season. A final push of 8 points in the final 4 games of the season were however important in seeing Steve over the line. A cheque for £50 will be soon be wending its way to him.

Claretfromaway was waiting to pounce (collecting 8 points in the final 3 games) and once again finished the season in the prizes picking up £20 for being the runner-up. Congratulations also must go to RickersTwickers who managed to sneak third place at the end and earn himself a tenner!

It could have been a different story. If Dad had predicted anything other than a Burnley victory (especially in the poor post January run) he would have earned himself a prize. As could Barnsey, whose average PPG would be enough to see him into third place, if only he had managed to predict all 46 games!

We now get three months off. Three months which I feel could be very interesting at the Turf. We will be back next season with another Prediction League.

Have a good summer all!

Once again we thank Dale for all his hard work in running this competition and we would be grateful if all three winners above could now contact the site with their address details so we can forward the competition winning cheques to them. If instead you would like Vital Burnley to use the money to donate to a good Clarets cause eg to the club or Clarets Trust then please let us know and we will do the rest.

Indeed - well done to those winning it! I think this winning margin is the biggest since we started the competition - well done Steve!

Just like the Clarets, got a top half finish. Many thanks TMP for providing a bit of fun in a tense season.

My congratulations go to Crosspool Claret and my thanks to all those who made this possible --especially Mr. Claretdale Please make sure that my prize money will be directed to a worthwhile function within the BFC organization Thanks again Claretfromaway

Thanks Dale, it's been a fun competition again, but Brian has the right idea, whenever I predict a draw a tiny bit of me doesn't want the Clarets to get a winner! I've emailed Phil my details. Thanks for the effort again Dale and see you in mid July!

Yes, well done Dale. A really enjoyable contest again and good to see a few new faces join in this time. Hopefully it will be up and running again next season. Congratulations to 'Crosspool' in winning the title at a canter and to 'CfromA' for claiming the silver medal. As regards my prize I am happy for this to be donated to BFC - though for personal reasons I would prefer it to go to a cause other than the Trust.

I will combine CFA and RTs winnings in a combined cheque for BFC and send CCs £50 to his home address over weekend
