Rumour Mill-Dawson on Loan Radar?

Burnley are just but one of a host of Championship clubs rumoured to be looking to sign West Bromwich Albion defender Craig Dawson on loan according to Sky Sports. In addition, Wolves, Blackburn, Leeds, Bolton, Leicester, Barnsley and Nottingham Forest have been linked! Flipping 'eck and that's before a number of Premier League clubs have also thrown their interest in the hat with a view to a permanent signing including Swansea. It looks like the club though are not willing to sell although they might consider a loan providing it's not in the top flight!

The England U21 international is certainly in demand but the Clarets would face too much competition it would seem to sign him. We have been linked with this player for many a season so it could be sloppy journalism to link him YET again don't you think? The 22 year old is a local Lancastrian lad born in Rochdale and after a two year spell at non-league, Radcliffe Borough, he joined his hometown club in February 2009 although remained on loan at Radcliffe for a time.

At the end of August 2010, Dawson signed for Premier League club West Bromwich Albion for an undisclosed fee on a three-year contract only to be immediately loaned back to Rochdale for the remainder of the 2010-11 season.

The Baggies certainly seem to be messing him about so expect another loan although I would be amazed if he finished up at Turf Moor even though stranger things have happened!

Naw not going to happen is it unless he's homesick for North West again and then Bolton or Blackburn might have edge?

You never know TMP - Sean will know Dawson from his time with the U21s I think - that may give us the edge.
