Rumour Mill-It's Just Like Having A Church?

Burnley are understood to have made an enquiry for 24 year old, Reading forward Simon Church according to the Burnley Express but if true they could face compeition from Millwall with reports that a 250,000 deal could be on the cards.

The forward is now back at the Madejski Stadium following a loan spell at Huddersfield Town. The loan contract completed at the end of last year.

The Welsh international is now well down the pecking order at the Madejski having made just one appearance, a Capital One cup game for the Royals all season.

Church was a prominent figure in Reading's promotion to the top flight as Champions last season scoring seven goals in 30 games but he is now clearly out of favour at the club. He has scored a total of 30 career goals in 170 matches and picked up 19 caps for Wales since making his international debut in 2009. Although a recognised striker, he can also play on the wing.

Interesting link since this is coming from the local media. Quite an high-profile player that could do well at Turf Moor

Not sure about this one myself. I havent heard many rave reviews about him in the last few years?

I'm struggling to see how and where he would fit in, possibly more in the sorts of roles now being played by Pato and Ings than by Charlie and Vokes. I would have thought our priorities lay elsewhere. But the jigsaw could, of course, get more complicated first before the pieces fall into place later.

Could be a contingency should we lose Austin and Paterson in the summer or maybe even January?
