Rumour Mill-Liam Boyce Linked

21-year-old Northern Ireland international, Liam Boyce is attracting a lot of interest from Championship rivals, Burnley, Blackburn and Wolves according to Sky Sports. The striker currently plays for Northern Ireland Premier League leaders Cliftonville and is in his second spell at the club.

Boyce began his career at Cliftonville, scoring 19 goals in his debut season. He eventually signed for Werder Bremen in August 2010 but was released by the German club in October 2011. He re-joined Cliftonville in January 2012 after agreeing a two-and-a-half year contract and has so far scored 19 goals in 37 appearances. His international caps for Northern Ireland total four so far and he has also represented the U21's on nine occasions.

Scouts from the three clubs mentioned above have apparantly all thought to have watched Boyce in action at Solitude this season in order to keep an eye on his progress.

Boyce's agent, Stephen Whelan whilst also having heard the rumours however insists he has had no contact with any interested clubs.

'I am aware that clubs have been watching Liam this season as he done very well for Cliftonville,' Whelan told Sky Sports.

'I have not had any official contact with any interested clubs and until that happens Liam will continue to give his all his Cliftonville.

'He is enjoying his football and he is just focusing on helping Cliftonville achieve their goals this season.'

Sounds prolific enough at the level he is playing so may be worth a point for the Championship? What do you think? Replacement for Austin?

The lack of comment suggests this possibility doesnt really cut the mustard?
