'If It's Football, It's Vital'

First United and Now City for Youth Team!

The Clarets face another trip to Manchester in the FA Youth Cup after drawing Manchester City in the fourth-round. Burnley are already the giant killers after shocking the football world by dumping Manchester United out of the competition in the third round thanks to a 4-3 victory at Old Trafford. That stunning win included a hat-trick by former City player, Jason Gilchrist. Terry Pashley`s youngsters now have a unique chance to shock the footballing world even more by also knocking out the blue half of Manchester!

Academy club City have won this competition twice.

Their last victory was in 2008 and that team included captain Ben Mee and Kieran Trippier both of course now Burnley players in the first team. There is some debate as to which ground the match will be played on as City are one of the clubs who have applied to use an alternative ground for their home games. Their designated choice is Hyde United's ground at Ewan Fields but they played at Stockport County`s Edgeley Park in their third round 3-1 win over Sunderland.

The last-32 ties are scheduled to be played by Saturday, 19 January, with confirmation of the venue and date of the fixture yet to be announced.
