Just the Ticket-Port Vale

Burnley travel to Vale Park on the night of Tuesday 14th August to play League 2 club,Port Vale in the first round of the Capital One Cup (Kick-Off-7:45pm). This is actually the first game Burnley will play of the new season. The Championship season starts four days later on Saturday 18th August with that intriguing home tie against Owen Coyle's Bolton.

The club have now provided ticketing details for the Port Vale clash.

Burnley have been allocated 1500 tickets and these will go on General Sale from Monday 6th August:

Adults: £12

Over 62s and Under 16s: £6

Tickets may be purchased from the Turf Moor ticket office, online or by phoning 0871-221-1914 (Option 2)

I am still a little dismayed that our biggest "pre-season game" will be Port Vale away, if we lose this game it puts a hell of a lot of pressure on the notloB fixture. I hope not playing a bigger or better team than us in pre season works, but I admit to being a little sceptical as to the merits this could go horribly wrong. Having said that one look at notloB's pre season and you could argue the reverse!
