Rumour Mill- Martin In?

Rumour Mill- Martin In?

23 year old Norwich striker, Chris Martin would appear to be on the radar of a number of Championship clubs including Burnley if the Sky Sports speculation is true.

The striker featured little in Norwich's Premier League battles last season and finished up being sent out on loan to Crystal Palace last November. Martin impressed whilst at Selhurst Park scoring seven goals for the club from 26 appearances. Indeed Palace could be in the driving seat to now sign him on a permanent deal. The Eagles though could face compeition from Birmingham, Millwall and recently relegated Bolton as well as the Clarets!

Martin started his professional career with Norwich in 2006. The Suffolk-born striker also had a season-long loan spell at Luton Town after signing two days prior to the start of the 2008-09 season. He finished up being their top scorer that season with 13 goals from 51 appearances also helping them win the Football League Trophy, scoring a goal in their 3-2 victory over Scunthorpe United at Wembley.

It is now thought that Norwich will not stand in his way should he wish to leave Carrow Road and it looks increasingly likely that he will be plying his trade in the Championship next season.

Well we look to be facing a battle to sign this lad if rumours are true!

If we are a "one of a number of clubs" it means we haven't got a chance.
