A Nice Warm Bath, Stanley?

The Clarets will play Bath City and visit Accrington Stanley as part of their preparations for the new season.

Eddie Howe will take his side to Twerton Park to face Bath on Tuesday, 31 July (kick-off 7.30pm) as part of a week-long training trip to the south west.

The Burnley boss is keen to repeat last season`s warm-up in and around Bath with a further fixture still to be confirmed.

It is thought this fixture could be Cheltenham at Whaddon Road but confirmation is awaited.

Admission prices for the game against Bath, who have just been relegated from the Blue Square Premier, will be £10 adults and £5 concessions.

Nearer to home, a Burnley XI will take on an Accrington Stanley XI as a testimonial for long-serving former Stanley assistant manager Jimmy Bell.

The game will take place at the Crown Ground on Wednesday, 18 July (kick-off 7.30pm).

Further details and admission prices will be announced in due course.

So in summary then so far Burnley's pre-season fixtures are as follows:

Accrington Stanley XI (A), Wednesday, 18 July (7.30pm)

Altrincham (A), Saturday, 21 July (3pm).

Bury (A), Tuesday, 24 July (7.45pm).

Bath City (A), Tuesday, 31 July (7.30pm)

Rochdale (A) Tuesday, 7 August (7.30pm).

It is thought there will also be one game at Turf Moor the week before the season kicks-off but again confirmation is awaited!

Not much meaty opposition there so far is there? Hopefully the one at Turf Moor will involve a Prem or Champs team?

Might be able to make the game at Stanley as I am at home that week for The Open. Ideally I should be able to make it to at least one of the games in the South West too- though if one of those was played on a Saturday it would help arrangements.
