Winner of Burnley's Got Prediction Talent Is...?

...Not a Dog!!!

Congratulations instead go to 'Claret from Away` who has come out victorious in the play offs to win this season's Vital Burnley Prediction League. He is the Champion once again after picking up the award last season and he now receives another £50 which will soon be winging its way over the pond to Canada!

Dale, our organiser of the competition takes second spot (£25) and the last day 2-1 victory for Chelsea over Rovers enabled Barnsey to scoop the third prize (£10). Dad & Couch Potato just miss out on the prizes by taking third and fourth spot.

Well done to all the winners and hard luck to the play-offs losers!

We will once again be running this competition next season but also look out for the European Championship Prediction League this summer.

Our thanks go to Dale for once again organising and keeping track of the competition. I am sure you will agree with me that he does a sterling job!

Well done once again CfA! Are you still at the same address or do you want to donate the money to the club again? Let me know your preference and I will organise either way

Gutted. Does it get any worse than 4th= in an Olympic year? How does repeat champion claretfromaway do it? I am going to have to spend the summer trying to study his secrets! In the meantime congratulations to him, Dale and Barnsey for taking the accolades, and thanks to Dale for keeping the scores. (Yes, it's the same Dale, but he's utterly incorruptible!)
Couch Potato
Thanks Dale for a good comp, I am happy to take part, but will always be an also ran until the day I can let my head rule my heart! Well done to all the winners.

Many thanks Dale for the comp, it was and is great fun. Congrats to CfA, my son is in Canada but a Spurs supporter, sorry to say. Comes from living in Spurs land when he was too young to appreciate the joy of being a Clarets fan.

Potato OUT!!! Well done CfA - the best man won 'over the course of the season'. However, none of us are going anywhere and we'll be back to try and take your crown next term.

I will donate my cash prize to the Parky fund - TMP, do you have an easy route for this? or do you want to send it to me and I will sort it? I am easy either way.

Utterly incorruptible and noble.
Couch Potato
I think the BFPA may have links to the Parky fund will ask!

I just wish that the team had the same kind of luck that I had over the past season --but maybe next year . My thanks go to Dale for handling the statistics of the Prediction League and making it the fun it was. Never fear I will be back to defend my crown next year with some enlightened and incisive predictions ( a lot of guess work )should Dale feel up to running it again I would ask Mr Turfmanphil to direct my winning amount to the same group who received it last year Again thanks to you all Up The Clarets

Yes well done Dale for being so generous and well done CFA for winning. I baled out with 4 games to go given my dire effort. Even switching to my old method of reverse psychology didn't help the Clarets this time.
