Vital Burnley Prediction League-The Play Offs!

The season has finished with a tie for the prize places so a playoff will be required to establish the winners in 1st,2nd and 3rd place. The final league table was as follows:



First place is a tie between claretfromaway and Dale so they will both now play off to decide who wins the first prize of 50 and who will win the second prize of 25.

Competing for third place is Dad, Barnsey and Couch Potato with only 1 person able to scoop the 10 prize. The other two will leave with nothing!

The play off competition will be to predict the final two games of the season for both Bolton and Blackburn.

Bolton v WBA
Blackburn v Wigan
Stoke V Bolton
Chelsea v Blackburn

The thread will be in the normal place for the five people to predict as required.

If the positions are still not separated the winners of the playoff final games will be predicted. After that, the prize money will be split.

I hope everyone has enjoyed the prediction league. We will be running another competition for the European Championships with one to follow next season as normal. The winner of the 'Predict a Season` competition will also be announced later this month.

Exciting stuff. Well done to those in the running and thanks to Dale for administering this once again. Am reasonably happy with my placings but am already considering a more tactical approach for next season. Couch, who might have mentioned that he is the current World Champion, could of course add the European crown to his trophy cabinet next month.

What can I say? Highest PPG, AND number of 3 points predictions...has no-one heard of "goal difference"?! Boooooo! ;-)

Regardless of the final outcome my thanks go to Dale for again conducting th Burnley Prediction League. In a season filled with dispair and disapointment, predicting the outcome of the game did ,for me, create some excitement. Thanks and well done eh!
