Rumour Mill-Burnley Big It Up For Bigirimana?

Eddie Howe is reportedly looking at a loan move for Coventry City's Gael Bigirimana.

The 18 year old Burundi-born midfielder came through the Sky Blues youth system before signing his first professional contract for the club last summer. Bigirimana wil now be at the club at least until June 2013.

He made his professional debut on 8 August 2011 playing the full 90 minutes in a 1-0 Championship loss to Leicester City and he has since made over 15 appearances for Coventry City.

Although described as a central midfielder, it would appear he is far more versatile than that!

Coventry City Academy Manager Gregor Rioch is quoted as saying:

'He can play absolutely anywhere. He's a footballer but we look at him as an Essien-type of footballer in central midfield, sat in front of the back four who can pick the ball up and play.'

Sounds the sort of player Howe would be interested in but I suspect if there is any truth in this it was to provide emergency cover for Duff and McCann had they not made it following their recent injuries. Coventry would presumably want to hold onto the talented prospect if he is that good so the loan would not have been with a view to a permanent move.

Sounds a very interesting prospect. So lots of other clubs will be interested. If so, we are not at the table. Cheap unknowns are what we will get, howefully they will be diamonds.

Isnt this the player who was sent off against at the Ricoh?

Don't think they would want anyone leaving judging by their league position but I thought the same when we were linked with McQouid. However I am pretty sure I read somewhere online that Coventry were not keen to let him go.
