Courtney Leaves Turf

Duane Courtney has left Turf Moor, with his contract being formally cancelled by the club.

The defender follows Danny Karbassiyoon, who had his contract cancelled earlier this week, and leaves Turf Moor after less than a year with the club.

He only made six substitute appearances for the Clarets, and one start in the game of the season 3-2 win at Luton last November.

Pity the lad never made it, does cast some doubt about the ability of SC to spot quality when you consider the situation regarding Karbassiyoon and Gifton Noel-Williams
