Karbassiyoon Moves On

Daniel Karbassiyoon's time at Burnley came to an end yesterday, with the club formally cancelling his contract.

The American joined the club last summer from Arsenal on a free transfer, but has struggled with injuries since.

Danny was one of the four players transfer listed this summer, and he even had a trial at AZ Alkmaar, and it is now likely that the player will return to his homeland to get his career back on track.

Clarets boss Steve Cotterill said: 'We thank him for his efforts at Burnley Football Club and are sorry and disappointed it has ended up this way.

'But we wish him all the best and maybe look forward to seeing him in the future playing in the MLS.'

Karbassiyoon's injury problems meant he only made 6 substitute appearances in Claret and Blue, although he is a player with good potential.

It is wise that Daniel has moved to the American skyline again to make his fortune . It would have been very difficult for him to command a regukar place in the playing team . To procure a place at the Turf is becoming very difficult.
