Rumour Mill- James McFadden on Loan?

28 year old, Everton forward James McFadden would appear to be on Eddie Howe`s radar according to Sky Sports. McFadden is thought to be keen to go out on loan to get some regular first-team action and it is reported that a number of clubs have been alerted to his possible availability.

In October last year, McFadden at the time a free agent, signed for Everton for a second time penning a contract until the end of the 2011-12 season but the Scotland international has made just one start for the Toffees against Tamworth in the FA Cup plus two brief substitute appearances in the Premier League

The Glaswegian started his professional career at Motherwell after coming through their youth system. David Moyes then paid 1.25 million to bring him to Everton the first time round in 2003. He eventually left Goodison Park in January 2008 to join Birmingham City on a three-and-a-half-year deal, with an option for additional two years, for an initial fee of 5 million (potentially rising to 6m depending on appearances). He could not agree a contract extension at St Andrews and left in June 2011 when his contract expired.

McFadden is widely admired although he is not a particularly prolific goal scorer scoring on average about 1 goal in every 4-5 games.

Interesting one! Another striker? Bound to fuel concern one of our current strikers could be off..and no prizes for guessing which one (please no)

In terms of stoking up those fears, haven't Everton just sold someone, and been again rumoured to be looking for more goal poower? (Bilyaletdinov to Spartak Moscow for 5million - deal expected in 48 hours.)
Couch Potato
Read the Bilyaletdinov rumour in the Sun today and it seemed a done deal. On brighter news Lafferty impressed in his trialist appearance but if we are done with signings where would this leave us with him? Seems strange to even have a trialist when we cant buy? Or is Eddie just trying to lower a possible asking price?
YorkshireClaret
Read the Sun, forget it. Eddie is clearly playing his cards close to his chest. We will know all about it after it has happened. He is doing OK and I am happy with it. Meanwhile we can speculate, chat and enjoy ourselves, our decisions do not count, thank goodness.

rumour dismissed by the club ..... next !
hollinsclaret
Where've you been, Hollins? I've missed you! The LB trialist, presumably the one called Lafferty, did OK last night in the 2-0 loss at Wolves, according to the official site. Any rumours on Amougou going out anywhere?
Couch Potato
Judging by his bulky frame CP I might suggest that Andre has been going out a little too frequently of late....to the pie shop!

Sounds like we are close to signing Lafferty; media saying for 200,000 (167,000) [Edited by turfmanphil]
