Come and Have a Go

Come and Have a Go

Ahead of the game at Hillsborough on Saturday, we spoke with a Sheff Wed fan on the game, and what he hopes the Owls will serve up this season.

Who will be your key player on Saturday
Tough one, with all our injury problems at the moment. I would have said Folly, who looks to be a classy player, but he has done his knee in, so I would go with Brad Jones. He has got a lot to live up to after Carson last year, but he looks a good keeper, but I think he might be busy in the next few weeks.

Who do you fear in Claret?

Jones and Gray look to have started well for you lot this year, so either of those two. McCann looks like a good player as well, so they will be the main threats I think.

How far do you think both clubs can go this season?

I think we will finish higher than last year, but it's a slow process. We have a quality manager, but with our injuries at the moment, we need to get going sooner rather than later, so we don't get dragged down early. I think mid-table is expected for us this year. For you lot, I'd say top half. I don't think you have the depth to make a playoff challenge, but if by some miracle you didn't get any injuries all year, then top six could be a possibility.

What will be the score on Saturday

I'd go for a draw. We could surprise you, but given our injuries, a draw is probably the best we can hope for. We'll get a good crowd again, and that will help.

We thank our Sheffield Wednesday friend, and wish them the best of luck for the season, but not Saturday of course.
