Micah Hyde to remain a Claret

There was a feeling about the place that Micah may be staying at the Turf and this has now been confirmed. During pre-season and against QPR, Micah has demonstrated why Steve signed him in the first place. Lets hope he now returns to being consistently our midfield general when called upon to play.

Very pleased both for Micah and the club

Steve Cotterill is quoted as saying the following:

'I spoke to Micah on Sunday and told him I was taking him off the transfer list and he looked happy. I'm delighted that he's in our squad and look forward to seeing him involved this season.'

'I don't want to elaborate on that anymore because then people will speculate on something that isn't there. I wouldn't have signed him if I thought he had nothing to contribute, so I am now looking forward to seeing him contribute again.

'I think he'll be better for being on the list and then coming off it.

'At the end of the day, I said when he went on the list that none of them would be treated any different and that's the way it's going to stay. Just because I have taken Micah off the list, it doesn't guarantee him a place because we do have competition, which is what we want.'

Well lets by all means discuss the good news here and in our forum but its now probably time to put any speculation as to why he was on the transfer list in the first place to one side and just rejoice that we will now have at least 19 members in our squad whilst we await transfer news concerning Danny Karbassiyoon, Duane Courtney and Gifton Noel-Williams
