'If It's Football, It's Vital'

What's It With Wes?

Wes Fletcher looked to be enjoying his loan spell down the road at Accrington Stanley. He had scored twice for the Reds in ten appearances for the League 2 club.

It is perhaps surprising then that Eddie Howe has recalled the 20 year old striker back to Turf Moor. His re-call papers were lodged with the Football League today but any thought that Howe might have the intention of playing the talented prospect seems to be unfounded.

Howe told the Official website:

'Wes is back with us. Unfortunately his time at Accrington has been cut short'

There is no indication though of the reasons why and Howe goes on to say:

'We will wait and see what happens with Wes but there is the possibility he will go back out on loan'

Fletcher joined Stanley in August and was expected to stay at the Crown Ground until January. All seems a bit of a mystery then but no doubt there will be some logical explanation for his early return.

Seems a bit of a strange one. Striker cover doesn't appear to be the reason so why bring him back?

I can only think that Accy Stanley have cut it short for some reason? thought he started quite well for them but have not checked on his progress of late.

Seems I was way off the Mark...he was brought back for the numbers in tonight's game seen as we are down to 18 players...according to the Burnley Express today.

Yet he isn't even on the bench?
