Clarets International-Another Call Up for Cort

Clarets defender, Leon Cort currently on loan at Charlton Athletic started his international career for Guyana earlier this month after featuring in their CONCACAF World Cup 2014 qualifying games.

Cort picked up his first international cap after playing the full 90 minutes in their away game against Barbados helping them keep a clean sheet in a 2-0 victory. He then also featured in their next qualifying game away to Bermuda. The game finished 1-1 and kept Guyana at the top of the Group B table with ten points from four games.

He must have impressed enough becuase he has received a further call-up to the squad for Guyana's next qualifying games.

Guyana's next two qualifying games are both against Trinidad & Tobago. These are the final games in this qualification stage and they will reach the next phase if they can avoid defeat.

This first play in Guyana on 11th November before the return leg in Trinidad & Tobago four days later.
