Vital Burnley Prediction League-An Update

Claret Dale provides an update for those posters playing the Vital Burnley Prediction League competition....

The second international break has arrived giving us another chance to reflect on the season. The late flurry of results has been a great lift to the optimism around the Turf. How optimistic are you about your chance in the prediction league?

See our second update below…

A few more positive results to speak off has led to an increase in the number of points being gained. Only 30% of those predicting failed to collect a point after our battling win at The New Den. I am sure this is a sign of increasing confidence in the ability of the team under Eddie.

As a final point, Brompton & RickerTwickers were the final people to get off the mark this season as they picked up a point each on the eighth attempt. This was followed with collecting more in the above mentioned Millwall victory. Is this the start of a charge to the summit?

We can all ignore the early season leader!
The next update will be provided in Late November.

Dale

--------------------------------------------

Many thanks again to Dale for running the competition and keeping us all regularly updated on how well we are all doing (or not as the case may be)

Just a reminder,it's still not too late for any new posters (or indeed established posters if not playing) to sign up and play the competition. Don't forget there will be a cash prize for the top three places come the end of the season (£50 winner, £25 runner-up, £10 third-place)

Well done Dale and thanks for your efforts. Down here in the deepest west we appreciate any involvement, however tenuous, in BFC. I am sure lots of far away supporters also appreciate what you do. Thanks again.

Dale, we can't afford to let reigning champion from away get away early.

An interesting question Dale. From a personal point of view though the answer has to be no. I am reasonably well placed in Sky's Super 6 competition but when it comes to predicting Burnley's results I am pretty useless.

Reverting to my old tactic of not predicting Claret wins helped us get 3 points off Millwall. Sadly, it cost me 2 points in the Pred L because I suspected we would win 2-1! Now, if the occassional sneaky pint is used as bribery, I am happy to continue this tactic. It worked 3 years ago! I finished bottom of the PL if I recall correctly but the Clarets went up! I'll take one for the team.....

Nice one CC! I might buy you a pint just for the nerve of it!! lol. You will have to come into the KSC 110 club pre one of our home games though? ;-)
