Cotterill Says Team Was 'Terrific'

Steve Cotterill said 'I thought the lads were terrific' after his Burnley side continued their recent great form with a 3-0 win over Crewe Alexandra. A brace from Spicer (27 and 68 mins) plus a goal from Dyer (72 mins) set the Clarets on their way.

Cotterill told the official site: 'We were patient and I thought in the first half we could have gone in three goals to the good....Once we had the second goal, I felt we dominated the game.'

He also says, following their run of five wins in six games in November 'I think we've had a decent month, been on a good run and to keep getting the wins was good.' The run has helped raise Burnley to 6th in the league.

However the Claret's boss is taking nothing for granted with a busy Christmas fixture list: 'We have some tough games coming up that we'll be looking forward to, but we'll be going into them with good confidence because we've played well for the majority of the season and we've been pleased with that,'
