Rumour Mill-Is Hines in the Building?

Zavon Hines could be joining Burnley on a free transfer from West Ham. According to Sky Sports they understand that the former England Under 21 International could already be at Turf Moor discussing terms.

Hines has turned down a new deal at Upton Park by all accounts after working on a week-to-week basis at the club ever since his existing contract expired at the end of last season.

He now looks set to join Burnley on a Bosman although the Hammers would be entitled to compensation having nurtured him through their youth system.

Eddie Howe is understood to be a long-term admirer of 22 year old and indeed the club were linked with him earlier in the year.

Hines has been out of action with a number of injuries though recently and managed just 15 appearances for the Hammers last season but hopefully a medical would resolve any concerns in that department.

Although I dont coach athletics or Football , I still think Hines would be a good signing !

I used to play the game, and now I watch Athletics and football, and I agree with Albma and Bernie that this could be a good 'un. I've just spent about 20 minutes catching up with news on the official site, where there's plenty on Ladies' Day and Danny Ings, but nothing on Hines. Conan the Barbarian, in cinemas Wednesday, August 24th.

I can spell Ahtletics and ftooball and I think Hines would be a great signing. This demonstrates some ambition but only at the right price. Good business!

Take it from me I was once a "young, young" love machine well versed in bedroom atheletics. I am now fat and dead and have never heard of Burnley although I stood on the North Bank at West Ham as a boy plundering the local pie and mash shops before and after a match. Barry White
