Just the Ticket-Barnet

The date for our Carling Cup second round game against League 2 Barnet has been confirmed as Tuesday 23rd August with the game kicking off at 7:45 pm.

Ticket prices will be:

15 Adults
10 SC/16-18/Students

Those who believe the ticket prices are somewhat steep should perhaps be aware that according to Media Manager, Darren Bentley, the club wanted to reduce prices but Barnet said no!!

The following areas of the ground, all unreserved seating will be open for the game:

Bob Lord Stand

James Hargreaves Upper

Jimmy Mc Lower

Tickets are now on sale from the ticket office, via telephone on 0871-221-1914 (Option 1) and online.

According to Daz on Twitter, Burnley wanted pricing to be 10, 5 and 1. Not sure why the away club has so much say in the matter nor the % of gate receipts they get. Anybody know?

They did this to us (Pompey) demanding 17 and the result was a crowd of 4,000 or so (including their fans). With a hard core support of more than twice that usually at Fratton they lost out big style and made for an atmosphere-free match. However, they won (we were dire). Perhaps its part of their tactics?

Yep I'm going, in answer to your question TMP don't really know, I have just always known that they can refuse the home club to sell cheaper tickets because they get a % of the gate, but don't know the ins and outs of it
