Rumour Mill-Burnley in the Mix for Haynes?

Burnley are one of a number of Championship clubs understood to be looking at 23 year old Barnsley striker, Danny Haynes. If the speculation is true we will face stiff competition from high-spending, promotion favourites Leicester City who have also been linked with the player along with Portsmouth and Hull.

This is not the first time this summer Burnley have been linked with Haynes.

Haynes joined Barnsley from Bristol City only last January for an undisclosed fee and could now be leaving Oakwell having spent less than twelve months at the club. He started his professional career with Ipswich before moving for an undisclosed fee to Ashton Gate in July 2009.

Not a prolific goal scorer about 1-in-4 for the Tykes but might link well with the likes of Jay Rod and/or Austin re assists etc

Fits the criteria, young prospect and cheap, OK by me but with wealthy (could say more likely to splash the cash) opposition do not think it will happen.

Would be a good solid signing good player quik youthfull and still developing, we need one more midfield quality player. Good defender. a versatile quality utility player, come on lets get it sorted, we have a good development squad & some good youngsters starting to shine but we do need more depth in the first team squad

IF this is a rumour with any legs, and after all the dud rumours of the summer, who can tell, I guess Haynes'll need to ask himself where he thinks he'll get more games, and whether he wants games or a bigger weekly. That said, there's no gauarantee Leicester are going to offer big money to everyone they're interested in. All that said, I'm always slightly suspicious of players who move around a lot. In Eddie we trust.
