Rumour Mill-Swans and Eagles!

The local Swansea Evening Post suggests Brendan Rodgers could be considering a move for Chris Eagles who is out of contract next summer. Swansea are in the market for a winger and have been linked this summer with high-profile moves for both Wayne Routledge and Marvin Emnes.

The paper goes on to say that they think Eagles is free to leave Turf Moor for the right price and could be looking to recoup at least the £1 million they paid Manchester United three years ago.

Eagles continues to be linked with a move to the Premier League and has been linked with a move in the past to Spurs and Everton. More recently another newly promoted top-flight club, QPR were thought to be interested in the player.

Only today though Eddie Howe is on record as saying:

'There`s always people circling, but there is no new news regarding any of our players.

'I`ve said all along I want to keep the squad together, keep our best players, and hopefully we can do that and bring in some new ones the other way.'

Oh FFS! Anybody else think it will be a miracle if a high-profile player does not leave Turf Moor by 6th August?

Don't panic tmp cannot see Eagles or Pato going anywhere just hope we see some in coming players.

On the other hand, tmp, don't forget that the transfer window stays open till the end of August (Though I could be wroing about this.) so save some panic for later. I'm not panicking.

It will be the same old, same old Club spiel come 6th August when Ben Mee is wondering when a new face will arrive! "We still have 'til the end of August" or "we still have the emergency loan option"!! Please, please let's have a new approach! Who exactly worth their salt is still going to be around to buy come end of August when all the Championship clubs will have bought about 5 players on average more than us? Competitive? One word..bollox!! ;-)

Eagles will probably want to go to a club on a bosman next year on his terms I think, with him and a couple of others on 12 month contracts might give them a bit more incentive to perform this coming season. Could be Wallace's season this year instead in my opinion, he has a point to prove and seems to be having a good pre-season.

Haha...I wouldn't like to be in your house during a close season TMP...have a valium and watch the cricket ?

There are teams in the Championship, that have gone into liquidation, now with loads of money now buying players to get them back into the premiership. We have not gone down this road, most of these teams will not gel because there are players on stupid wages who are no better than the ones we have in our squad, but please burnley fc board, release some good funds for a striker, two strong holding midfielders, Centre half.

Does Anyone think their is any truth in Mears & Eagles going to Bolton for 3M what's plastered on Daily Mail website

Who knows Gazza, I sincerely hope not! See our new article and poster comments on this! Daz Bentley at the club has at least tweeted its nonsense

Just wondering now if Swansea and QPR might have been prepared to offer more than Bolton for Eagles but guess we will never know, can't believe I made that post above this one!!:-(
