Come in Number 23?-Mystery Signing?

One of our eagle-eyed Clarets spotted that in fact we only had 22 players named on the Official Site despite the club saying Eddie Howe had named 23 players for the South West tour that begins today.

So is there a mystery man amongst the party. He who dare not be named? Could we have signed a new player and he is being kept under wraps until an official announcement or can the club simply not add up?

Have they forgot to add Leon Cort or remove Chris Iwelumo who signed for Watford today?

Well by all accounts, media manager, Daz Bentley is not allowed to name the 23rd player so the plot thickens although I suspect it will only be a trialist

Whats going on Cort and Harvey not in the squad are they injured or are they next for the chop.

Well, Howe has god rid of two attackers, two midfielders and two defenders (three with Cort, if he leaves). In came a defender. I personally imagine a striker and a winger as reinforcements.

Treacy seems a good bet (player/cash with Cort?lol)

Would it be the Kiwi chap we've signed?

Naw think he's way too young and he is not a secret, they already announced his signing

Anyone know where they're based while down here in the SW? I could maybe try to peek through the hedge, or hire a microlite? Or I've heard there are several recently unemployed phone hackers looking for new business? Maybe one of them can get the story?

Somewhere in Bath by all accounts although they could move nearer to Torquay after! I wonder if they intend to make an announcement today before kick-off tonight. Probably shouldn't build my hopes up. Expecting news of a big signing but it will probably be some unknown trialist

I thought it might be we hadn't clearanse for him to play yet. That said the other young lad is in the squad Hewitt. While i'm on about the youth team is McKee still with us?

McKee was named in the squad that went to Altrincham but stayed on the bench. Not selected since

There are young players ahead of McKee up front. Howe said last season that he was looking for 'something nasty' in midfield when signing Bartlett. Is Hewitt a strong tackler? Is he the next Cork? Anyone know anything about him?

All I know about him comes from Howe-I have been impressed with him. I saw him last year several times for the reserves and every time he impressed me.Hes got a real enthusiasm for the game. Hes a very good young player and one we have high hopes for.

The (GK) Stewart doesn't seem to have been mentioned or has he gone bye the bye now?

Some are saying he is the missing #23 but can't see that would be a secret since they have already mentioned him on Official Site! No official word on Stewart so god knows. They sounded keen to sign him as a third-string keeper

Numerous dubious rumour websites now suggesting #23 is ex-Wolves midfielder David Jones (26 ,England U21)

I to be honest believe that the #23 is going to be a player that none of us expects to be.. Best eg.; did any one expect Mee to sign in?

@dazbentleybfc: Can now confirm that goalkeeper Jon Stewart is 23rd player in #SWtour squad #twitterclarets
