Howe Hints to Fans:Expect Transfer Flurry End June

Eddie Howe has yet to make his first signing of the summer with impatient Clarets fans frustrated at the lack of action, particularly on the Jack Cork (permanent move) and Chris McCann (signing new contract) fronts

We can though expect him to delve into the transfer market before the window closes. It is just a question of when and how many.

Speaking to the Official Site, there is a strong hint from Howe that Clarets fans could see a lot of activity towards the end of this month:

'The focus is on signings and players and has been for most of the summer,' he said.

'We are on the hunt for players. We have identified players a long time ago and it's just a case of getting over the line with them.

'It's been quite a slow summer in terms of transfers. Most teams have been taking a watching brief but I'm sure once one starts they will all fall into place.

'I think there will be a lot of activity but it will probably be crammed into the end of June.'

We always seem to get this sort of speak at this time of year, in the end though actions always speak louder than words and that's what Clarets fans will be judging the level of ambition on. End of June then, let's see what happens and how much activity involves the Clarets.

Not sure how many signigns therw will be this year. I imagine three, maybe four. Defender, midfield (not counting McCann) and a winger. the fourth I think will be a keeper.

I guess it also depends who goes and if we have enough time to find suitable replacements

Don't think we need many, but a firm defence is the priority - good teams are always solid at the back. Maybe we already have all we need bar one extra - with a few on their way out as well. For the rest, it depends who we hang onto before we know what we need.

I would think EH and the board will want to move on some of the big wagers and deadwood before Eddie can get his squad assembled for the forthcoming season. Then we have the players who may be sold the likes of Eagles Bikey Jrod and mears, and that also depends on whether McCann resigns.

keep your hands off our players at bournemouth eddie, bad enough the way you walked out on us after promising you'll stay
