The Full Friendly Summer Schedule

As previously announced Burnley would not be going on any exotic tours abroad this summer with Eddie Howe keen to play his warm-up games in England. We were however notifed that there would be a mini-tour of the South West of England in the summer after previously announcing we would be playing Bristol Rovers on the 19th July.

We were just awaiting news of one further friendly game to be played in the South West and this week it was confirmed that Clarets fans would now have an opportunity to travel to the seaside!

Yes, Burnley will travel to Torquay United for a pre-season friendly on Saturday, July 23.

The match will kick off at 3pm and will follow the Clarets' fixture at Bristol Rovers on the 19th.

Admission prices will be 10 (adults), 5 (Over 65s and students) and 1 (U16s).

The Gulls just missed out on promotion this season narrowly losing out 1-0 to Stevenage in the League Two play off final at Old Trafford last weekend.

Here then is the full final friendly list of fixtures for this summer:

Friendly Fixtures Summer 2011

Altrincham (A) Saturday, July 9 (kick-off 3pm).

Bury (A) Tuesday, July 12 (kick-off 7.45pm).

Bristol Rovers (A), Tuesday, July 19 (kick-off 7.45pm).

Torquay United (A), Saturday, July 23 (kick-off 3pm).

Oldham Athletic (A), Tuesday, July 26 (kick-off 7.45pm).

Sunderland (H), Saturday, July 30 (kick-off 3pm).

Clarets fan to Clarets fan wife: 'Here,love I know I have been neglecting you for football. so how about a trip to the seaside this summer?. Let's go to Torquay, will be really warm down there. Got a mate down there I am meeting up with at 3pm on July 23rd, so you could go shopping whilst Im away?' (Cough!)
