Countdown to Question Time-An Evening with Clarke

Burnley defender Clarke Carlisle may have come through recent appearances on Countdown and Question Time unscathed but next month he faces his toughest audience yet...Burnley fans!

The Clarets Trust has organised an evening with Clarke called Countdown to Question Time during which time he'll talk about his career and his time at Turf Moor before answering fans questions.

Carlisle is the newly elected Chairman of the Professional Footballers Association and he is the Clarets Trust Sponsored Player for this season. The Burnley vice captain is also a member of the Trust and was delighted to be involved with the Q+A night when asked by Trust board member Chris Wells

The event will be held on THURSDAY, 17th MARCH in the 1882 LOUNGE at Turf Moor and doors will open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

Fans wanting to snap up tickets can do so by calling Chris Wells on 07890 454644 or buying them from the reception in the Bob Lord Stand at Turf Moor.

Tickets for Countdown to Question Time are priced at £8 for Trust members and £10 for non-members, including a pie and peas supper.

If you want tickets let me know and I can sort them out for you if you don't fancy going via Chris or popping into BLS reception

Many more performances like the one The Clarets produced yesterday evening and there will be continued conjecture as to the long-term and, indeed, current make-up of Burnley's rearguard. No doubt many supporters will welcome the opportunity to engage Clarke Carlisle in discourse, so to speak. I'm, alas, not one of them.

I think this will be a great evening! Not sure if I can make it myself, due to baby 3, but I will be persuading my Dad to go, and would recommend it to everyone!

Perhaps ask the Chairman of the PFA what happened on his way to dressing room after the PNE game.....did he trip over someone?

Perhaps ask the stand in Captain what he thinks of hoofball?

Well thats the beauty of this sort of event, with no pre-prepared questions given to Clarke he will be on the spot to answer owt you like! Come on lads and lasses come along and have some fun, £10 with a pie and peas supper thrown in? What else would you be doing on a Thursday night, watching Emmerdale?
