'If It's Football, It's Vital'

50% back Gerrard- Editorial

It was a tight contest, but 50% of Vital Clarets fans believe that the England captain's armband should be worn by Steven Gerrard.

It is easy to see why. Gerrard has taken the captaincy in his stride at Liverpool, dragging the team to Champions League victory in Istanbul, and playing a starring role in last year's FA Cup Final.

It was a close affair, with Chavski's John Terry taking 40% of the vote.

In fairness, either would make a great England captain, as both lead fantastically well for their clubs. The only difference being Terry leads the equivalent of the Harlem Globetrotters, whereas Gerrard leads an actual football team, with a good degree of success.
