Just the Ticket-West Ham in FA Cup Fifth Round

The Clarets face a trip to London on Monday 21st February when they will play West Ham in the fifth round of the FA Cup. The match at the Boleyn Ground, Upton Park will kick-off at 8pm following the announcement that ESPN have decided to cover the match live.

Clarets fans may have been hoping for a weekend fixture in order to go to this match but now some may have to be content with hunting down a pub or a friend's or family home that actually subscribes to the ESPN channel.

For those still able to go to this match, here are the ticket details.

Tickets will go on general sale on Tuesday 8th February and will be priced as follows:

Season Ticket Holders

Adults: £15

Senior Citizens: £15

Juvenile: £5

Non-Season Ticket Holders

Adults: £17

Senior Citizens: £17

Juvenile: £5

There are also six tickets available for wheelchair/helpers at £5/pair.

The tickets can be ordered via postal application or at the ticket office counter.

Season Ticket holders will only be able to get the discount if they show their season ticket books over the counter or provide their Clarets Number in postal applications.

Tickets will also be on sale for Foundation members at discounted prices by phoning 01282 700023 only.

So TMP, the folks at ESPN and the FA will not be on your Christmas Card list next year, I'm getting from today's comments alone

ESPN have a contract with FA to show Monday night cup matches. So why does that make them tosspots to do what they have a contract for?! What is so disgraceful about having footy on TV as many days of the week as possible. I'm sure there has been previous occasions when you were pleased we were on TV so you could see a match. Yes its annoying that we have so many away matches but thats hardly ESPNs fault

Can anybody help with some information please!! I want to get two tickets for the Preston game and the Burnley web site said 'postal applications only'. I rang the ticket office to see if you had to send the money for the tickets in with the application - the ticket office didn't know as they only deal with home tickets!! She gave me a number to ring which turned out to be Exeter Football Club!!! I have had troubles with getting tickets before at Burnley and obviously nothing has improved!! Can anyone advise?

I would send a cheque in with the ticket request Ozjean - address it to Burnley Ticket Office and make cheque payable to Burnley FC. That should work? Bolton - Whilst I like watching football on Tv most nights of the week, i dont particularly think it is good for the game ( reduced attendances - esp at smaller clubs).

Quite simply BC read the comments of folk affected by this decision on this thread and elsewhere. As far as I am concerned ESPN can stick their contract up their arse! What is so difficult about arranging televised matches at sensible times so fans who would normally go can still go?
08/02/2011 12:35:00
My point is that not everyone is adversely affected by the ESPN change. Whilst there are fans like tmp who will be disappointed there are others like me and my son who are delighted that we can now see the match whereas we could not afford to go to London. It is only natural that those who are adversely affected will shout louder than those who are pleased so i am adding some balance to a 3 articled OTT rant
08/02/2011 14:06:00
I only hope that ESPN, should they choose to follow TMP's forceful advice re: their contract, take a few copies of it beforehand. If they don't it could make any future examintaion of the smallprint somewhat hazardous.
08/02/2011 17:51:00
What do a Pelican, ESPN and the Inland Revenue all have in common ? Answer : They can all stick their bill up their arse. Yes, ok I know we're talking about contracts here, but I thought I'd throw that one in.
08/02/2011 19:33:00
..and my point is BC many more will be disappointed than happy! That's before we even discuss what effect it has on the other games and our promotion chances with no home games for a month to bolster confidence
