Richard gets Eck of a Loan Extension at Bradford

Bradford City have been successful in extending Clarets right back, Richard Eckersley's loan by one month.

He will now continue to play for the Bantams until the 6th February.

Eckersley has found it difficult to break into the Burnley side since arriving from Manchester United in July 2009. He was signed by Owen Coyle on a four-year deal but has made only limited appearances for the Clarets. In March 2010, Eckersley joined Plymouth Argyle initially on a one-month loan which was then extended to the end of the season.

The 21 year old then joined Bradford City on loan in November 2010.

Will be interesting to see what the new manager makes of players like Eckersley.

I like the sound of this lad. Loads of spirit and one for the near future.

At least he is working with a good manager who maybe able to curb his willingness to get sent off under floodlights!
