Steel Yourself for the Iron-It's Game On!

Burnley have confirmed today's game with Scunthorpe will go-ahead although fans are asked to note that there will be reduced facilities at the ground after burst water pipes caused problems

The club statement on the Official Site reads:

'We are delighted to announce that Tuesday's npower Championship game at home to Scunthorpe United (KO 3pm) goes ahead as planned.

'However, supporters should note that there may be reduced toilet and catering facilities in both the Bob Lord and Jimmy McIlroy (lower tier) stands. These are stands used by home supporters only.

'Club officials continue to attempt to restore water supplies to these areas following a spate of burst water pipes caused by the sudden thaw.

'Staff are working to ensure these issues are kept to a minimum. However, the full extend of these disruptions may not be known until closer to kick off.'

Come on you Clarets! A massive win or at least three points will be just the tonic we all need as we go for our first back-to-back win in the League this season and indeed the first ever under Brian Laws! Be a bit strange not being there and listening to a home game on Clarets World

Memo to the Club. Burst pipes are not due to a thaw, its just that the water can run out of the bursts caused by the freeze, Insulate those pipes to stop them freezing.
