Canaries in Claret Sky!

The Carrow Road game against Norwich had been scheduled for Saturday, September 30th at 3pm.

The game however will now kick off at 1.15pm on Sunday, October 1 so that Sky can feature the game live.

The early kick-off will probably mean not too much pre-match drinking time for those making the long-haul trek to watch the game on the ground and the distance and remoteness of East Anglia will probably make the TV match the preferred viewing option!

I am actually based in East Anglia and the trip to Norwich is normally an easy one for me. The corresponding match last Xmas however was somewhat spoilt by the bitter wind and snow and by a dismal Clarets performance! I am sure that match set the trend for the torrid results and loss of form we experienced in the New Year. You could see the writing on the wall in that game.

I wish this match had been on the telly last season, I think I may have stayed at home and ignored the snow!

For those that like a drop of the old real ale I can recommend a pub called the 'Fat Cat' should you want to make the trip out East! They must have something like 50 real ales at least to choose from and if you fancy a session after the match you might want to consider staying over in a cheap B&B!!

Thats what I did last Xmas and to be honest the 'Fat Cat' cheered me up after a grim match!

I welcome the idea that the match between Burnley and Norwich will be shown live on Sky . We are lucky in Mauritius that we can these matches relayed from South Africa . At least we would have the opportunity to assess the performance of the club and the players as well.
