Oh Eck, Richard on loan to Bradford

Clarets right back, Richard Eckersley has joined League 2 club, Bradford City on loan.

The loan deal could run until the start of January but Brian Laws will have the option to recall the player after completion of 28 days.

Laws said of the move:

"It has been difficult to get Richard games so this is a good opportunity for him,

"He`s going to a club that gets crowds of 10,000 so he will be playing in a fantastic atmosphere at a good stadium.

"He`s also going to play under an excellent manager in Peter Taylor so it's a good move all round."

The Bantams play away to Wycombe on Saturday and Eckersley could be in contention to make his debut.

Our other players currently out on loan also complete their initial one month loans after tomorrow's games including Kevin McDonald at Scunthorpe, Wes Fletcher at Stockport and Kevin Long at Accrington Stanley. it is possible though some of these may be extended.

No option really,he clearly wasn't going to see much action at right back in first team with Mears there!

The problem with Richard is that he looks like he's going to get sent off in every game he plays

Another of Susans great buys! He needs to learn a lot as I reckon the young lad Curtis in the under 18s is as good.

Remember seeing Eckers play a few games for United and he looked pretty good. Then again, playing alongside some of their players I would look half decent. Well, perhaps not these days !
